A quick, easy, and refreshing drink perfect for the summer! The mint syrup (recipe below) can be refrigerated and used for about a month. You can also use it in a virgin mojito!
Mint Simple Syrup
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of sugar (or sugar alternative, I use monkfruit sweetener)
- 1 cup of water
- 2/3 cup of mint leaves
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan
- Continuously mix the ingredients until the sugar dissolves
- Turn off heat when it starts boiling
- Let cool, store in a jar, and refrigerate
Lemon & Mint Fizz
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz mint simple syrup
- 0.75 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp orange blossom water (optional), I got mine from Total Wine
- club soda or premium tonic water
- mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions:
- Fill a highball glass with ice
- Add in mint simple syrup, lemon juice, and orange blossom water
- Stir until well combined
- Top with club soda or premium tonic water
- Garnish with mint sprigs
- Stir before drinking
