Mixing red wine in a cocktail that is not a sangria? Yes, don’t knock it ’til you try it. Red wine can actually work well with other spirits. I mixed it with tequila and some fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice in this mocktail. I think the slight bitterness of grapefruit and the kick from the zero-proof tequila played really nice with the Pinot Noir in this recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz NA Pinot Noir (I used @drinkwanderfound )
- 1.5 oz Tequila Alternative (I used @ritualzeroproof )
- 2 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
- 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
- Juice of 1/2 Lime
- Grapefruit-flavored Sparkling Water
- Grapefruit wedge for garnish
Instructions:
- Place all ingredients except for sparkling water and garnish in a shaker glass.
- Add ice and shake for 8-10 seconds.
- Strain into a highball glass with ice.
- Top off with grapefruit-flavored sparkling water.
- Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
Cheers 🍹⚡️
