Grapefruit Basil Sparkler

It’s grapefruit season! 🍊✨

@amethystnaspirits sent me a trio of their Non-Alcoholic Spirits to try and the Grapefruit/Basil one was perfect because I’ve been wanting a grapefruit mocktail lately. I really like the Grapefruit/Basil NA spirit - it is sweet with flavors of grapefruit up front with a hint of basil. It also has a nice spicy finish. The spiciness is interesting because I can’t quite tell where it’s coming from - it doesn’t taste like jalapeños but it is nice! When I mixed it in a mocktail, that heat was neutral and didn’t conflict with the other flavors but instead it provided a nice burn towards the end. I quite like it! The Grapefruit/Basil one is a bit sweet so I only added a touch of lavender syrup. I will probably use this spirit as a liqueur in the future to mix in with other spirit alternatives. I think it would work beautifully with NA gin! I’m excited to play with this some more! Thank you, Amethyst!

@ladybirdsoda also sent me a variety pack of their mixers and I used the Ruby Red Grapefruit Soda in this mocktail to add some bubbly texture and some more grapefruit flavors. Thank you, Lady Bird!
