Black Manhattan

Second drink for Dry January! I wanted to demonstrate in this one that you can still have “spirit-forward” drinks without the alcohol. One just needs to have creativity and the right ingredients to come up with a mocktail with strong flavors that truly tastes like an adult beverage, not just a combination of juices. @allthebitter very kindly sent me their limited edition Fig & Walnut Bitters and I knew I had to make a non-alcoholic version of Black Manhattan with it.

Stay tuned for more drinks this Dry January. The next recipe will be using wine as the base so watch out for that!

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Whiskey Alternative (I used @lyresspiritco ‘s Highland Malt)
  • 1 oz @drinkthepathfinder
  • 4 dashes @allthebitter Fig & Walnut bitters
  • Luxardo cherry for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Combine all liquid ingredients in a mixing glass.
  2. Add ice and stir for 10-12 seconds.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. Garnish with a cherry.

Cheers! 🍹⚡️
