Italian Colada

It’s been raining for a couple of weeks now in California and I miss the sun so I made a tropical drink. This is a twist on a piña colada, using Lyre’s award-winning Italian Orange instead of rum. I also used a little bit of heavy cream for texture. Not low in calories but definitely a treat (a dessert cocktail). Perfect for a Sunday chill day.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Lyre’s Italian Orange
  • 3 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1 oz Heavy Cream
  • 1 oz Cream of Coconut
  • Orange wedge and cherry for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a shaker, combine all the ingredients except for the garnishes.
  2. Add ice and shake for 10-12 seconds.
  3. Strain into a tiki glass full of ice.
  4. Garnish with orange wedge and cherry.
