Italian Colada
It’s been raining for a couple of weeks now in California and I miss the sun so I made a tropical drink. This is a twist on a piña colada, using Lyre’s award-winning Italian Orange instead of rum. I also used a little bit of heavy cream for texture. Not low in calories but definitely a treat (a dessert cocktail). Perfect for a Sunday chill day.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Lyre’s Italian Orange
- 3 oz Pineapple Juice
- 1 oz Heavy Cream
- 1 oz Cream of Coconut
- Orange wedge and cherry for garnish
Instructions:
- In a shaker, combine all the ingredients except for the garnishes.
- Add ice and shake for 10-12 seconds.
- Strain into a tiki glass full of ice.
- Garnish with orange wedge and cherry.
